Skinner & T'witch had a fabulous time on their recent mini tour in Kent, where they played live at Tonbridge Folk Club (Nellies) and at Rosslyn Court, Cliftonville, Margate.

The first hour of the Rosslyn Court gig was live-streamed, so you can watch it again here: www.rosslyncourt.com/concerts

Skinner & T'witch are delighted by these cracking reviews of these gigs:

'Skinner & T’witch at Tonbridge Folk Club – 4th July 2022

Skinner & T’witch came to Tonbridge Folk Club last Monday with a set of humour, theatricality and superb songs. From the biting satire of ‘Folk Medley’, the observational comedy of ‘You’re always right’ and ‘Everybody’s grotty’ to the historical ‘Nelson’s Brew’ (that touches on the experience of Sandra’s ancestors), the duo performed with warmth, professionalism and panache. Steve plays two beautiful Spanish-made guitars (not at the same time!) in a style that is a blend of flamenco with a touch of Bert Jansch. He and Sandra share vocal duties and harmonise skilfully.

Steve writes all the songs – with the exception of a startlingly original arrangement of ‘Black Waterside’ – and he and Sandra engage with their audience, making their performance a proper entertainment.

And if you like chorus songs, they’ve got some of those too.

All in all, a great evening’s entertainment from this Leeds-based duo'. Tonbridge Folk Club

''Rather marvellous evening at Rosslyn Court last night. Skinner & Twitch were on great form, with their theatrical songs poking fun at life and love, as well as a very moving one about Refugees at Calais Jungle'. Rosslyn Court, Cliftonville, Margate

Whilst on tour, Skinner & T'witch also very much enjoyed giving an interview to BBC Radio Kent's Erika North. You can listen again to Erika's show (until 24.7.22) via: www.bbc.co.uk/sounds/play/p0ccf9d8
