Skinner & T'witch are very excited to be hosting their fabulous antipodean friends, Sadie and Jay, (with a lot of support from Big Uncle Tony Haynes!) plus playing a live set on FAB Folk & Blues on Tempo 107.4 FM, on Wednesday, May 23rd, from 8pm: www.tempofm.co.uk

Sadie and Jay - Since Sadie & Jay's successful first UK tour, in 2016, Sadie and Jay have become "antipodean correspondents" for Big Uncle Tony Haynes FAB Folk & Blues show. So far Sadie and Jay have interviewed south east Qld musicians Mark Cryle, The Company, Cloudstreet, Rebecca Wright & Donald McKay, Caroline Hammond, The Goodwills, Gone Molly, Anne Infante, Noel Gardner & Sarah Calderwood. Sadie and Jay are currently in the middle of a UK tour: www.sadieandjaymusic.com

With Welsh heritage, Sadie's love for singing is instinctive. Born in England and raised in Australia, Sadie's distinctive voice and versatility led her to perform in bands, theatre and cabaret. From singing jazz & blues with pianist Michael Kenny to world & roots music with The Romaniac's, Sadie has performed with accomplished musicians enriching her spellbinding vocal ability.

Born in Scotland and raised in New Zealand, Jay grew up in a musical family immersed in traditional British folk music. For many years Jay has been a member of the PENMANS, a four part family A-Capella group. This collection of brother, sisters and father have entertained at folk festivals and concerts in New Zealand. Their album "Homemade Jam" is a celebration of the traditional folk genre.

Sadie and Jay have been performing as a duo in and beyond the Brisbane folk and festival scene for the past five years.
